She has specializations in “Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense” from the National Institute for Strategic Security Studies -INEEES-; “Security and Defense with a focus on Local Governance by the General Directorate of Defense Policy, Ministry of National Defense; “International Organized Crime -CTOC-“ by the George Marschall European Studies Center, Germany; “Security and Defense Strategy -SDP-” by the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Security Studies; “Analysis of information for Disaster Management”, Administration of Emergency Operations Centers”, “Foresight and Scenarios for Disaster Risk Management” by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; Volcanic Risk Management by the Japan International Cooperation Office -JICA-, among others.
Work experience of more than 20 years in comprehensive management processes of disaster risk reduction, disaster management, international cooperation; and experience in the National Security System of Guatemala as Head of the Foreign Security Inspectorate and Presidential Commissioner for Risk Management and Civil Defense of the Advisory and Planning Commission of the National Security Council of Guatemala.
