Silvia Marynelly De León Garzona

Silvia Marynelly, born in Guatemala. He has doctoral studies in Strategic Security from the San Carlos University of Guatemala; and postgraduate degrees in Strategic Studies with a specialty in Security and Defense; Policy, Strategy and High Level Management; Control and Evaluation of the Administrative Action of the State. In addition, a degree in International Relations.​

She is a graduate of the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies, where she received the William J. Perry Award in her capacity as Technical Secretary of the National Security Council in 2016.​

He has contributed to issues of defense, development, governance, public policies, prevention and security. Coordinated and integrated the methodological and conceptual design group for the development, monitoring and follow-up of the National Security Policy, the Strategic Agenda, the Strategic Security Plan of the Nation 2016-2020, and the White Paper on Security, Guatemala 2025 with Security and Development. Instruments that embody the comprehensive approach to security, by integrating the objectives and strategic actions developed by the institutions of the National Security System of Guatemala, thus strengthening their collaboration, cooperation and coordination, with the institutions of the Security Council System. Development at different levels of participation and decision-making.​
