Leyla Elisa Díaz López, is Honduran, Graduate in Public Accounting and Finance, Lawyer with Master’s studies in Business Law and Fundamental Rights, Specialist in Defense and National Security, Diploma in judicial facilitation, management of non-governmental organizations, supervision and accountability in the Police, Crime Prevention at the Local Level. Graduate of the International Visitor and Leadership Programs. Graduated from the William J. Perry Center – Washington Defense University in Strategic Implications in Human Rights. For 7 years she was National Coordinator of the Latin American and Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women’s Rights – Honduras. She has received international recognition for the contribution of women in Latin America and the Caribbean to disarmament. 2014, 2017 and 2020 -UNLIREC. National Recognitions Women, Peace and Security 2020 – Secretary of Security Honduras and for the contribution to strengthening the institutions – Directorate of Police Disciplinary Affairs – DIDADPOL 2021. During the last 15 years she has been a defender of Human Rights, researcher, advisor to Organizations Non-Governmental, coordinator and implementer of programs and projects financed by international cooperation, especially in the field of citizen security, firearms, women, diverse population and care for people in situations and in the context of human mobility. She is currently a consultant at the national/regional level.
